Adair County Fairgrounds home location

ACPC hosts puppet show about Bullying Prevention

The Family Resource Center at the Adair County Primary Center sponsored a Kids on the Block Bully Prevention Program for K-2 students on Thursday, September 26, 2019. The performance provided 3 life-sized Kids on the Block puppets who shared their personal experiences with bullying, and students learned healthy ways to handle bully situations.

Painting on the Square

The LWC men's varsity basketball team cleaned and painted around the historic square in Columbia on Wednesday morning, Sept. 25, during the college's Malvina Farkle Day. More than 900 members of the LWC community volunteered at 40 service sites in the local area and surrounding communities.

LWC women's soccer team cleaned up Jamestown Street and the surrounding neighborhoods, Wednesday morning, Sept. 25, during the college's Malvina Farkle Day. More than 900 LWC students, faculty and staff participated in the annual day of service.

Members of the Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team worked in the Columbia-Adair County natural garden, Wednesday morning, Sept. 25, during the college's Malvina Farkle Day. Classes were canceled at LWC so that students could participate in the annual community engagement event.

Helping at the Animal Shelter

Lindsey Wilson College freshman Nathan Ray from Greensburg, KY, enjoys time with a dog at Green River Animal Shelter Wednesday morning, Sept. 25, during the college's 2019 Malvina Farkle Day. About a dozen LWC students and staff members performed their community service at the animal shelter.

Lindsey Wilson College Associate Professor of Communication Susan Minton leads the LWC community in singing the "Malvina Farkle Day Song" Wednesday morning in Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center. Minton is holding a toy possum, said to be the pet of the fabled mythical LWC student after whom the day of service and games is named.
