Kentucky Wired project continues to make news

2019-10-29 - Columbia - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Delivering high speed internet access all across the state is making a lot of news this season. KentuckyWired representative Donavon McClure spoke at the October meetings of both the Adair Chamber of Commerce and Fiscal Court. In the photo, Dick Fitzpatrick holds the handout passed around at the Chamber meeting showing the three rings of the state and the progress in each. The project began under former Gov. Steve Beshear with Congressman Hal Rogers in the SOAR initiative in eastern Kentucky. Work in Adair County is supposed to be completed by year end and the whole state by this time in 2020. DuoBroadband already provides access in most of the County and Kentucky Wired will add to any areas not already covered.
