Kentucky Color: Low Hanging Mid-Autumn Clouds 2019-10-30 - Adair Co., KY - Photo by Billy Joe Fudge. Wheeler Hill Pass carried motorists bound for all points South on the Chattanooga Highway up and into low hanging, mid-Autumn clouds on Wednesday morning, October 30th. Highway 61 climbs more than 400 feet from where it crosses Petitts' Fork of Russell Creek outside of Columbia up into the Highlands. The Highlands are the South Central Kentucky Divide between the Cumberland River and Green River Watersheds and almost always causes variations of temperature and moisture during all seasons of the year.
