OCC 2019: Faith General Independent Church

Two-year-old Elijah Kost and Teresa Abrell delivered OCC boxes that were prepared by the Faith General Independent Church. Drop offs can be made at the Wheet Fellowship Hall, 1200 Jamestown St., Saturday 9-11 AM, Sunday 2-4 PM, and Monday 9-11 AM.

Jeffries Hardware holds grand reopening celebration

Jeffries Hardware Wholesale Electric on Jamestown Street in Columbia held their grand reopening ceremony today. The Lewis family and the store family were joined by the Chamber of Commerce and friends for a ribbon cutting in front of the store. With the ribbon in front are, from left: Mayor and Chamber President Pamela Hoots, Council member Ronald Rogers, owners Ann, Chris and Leon Lewis, Bryan Rich, and Ann Martin.

Sunset will overlook a different landscape soon

This view will be vastly different soon. The former Bennett property, across the parkway from Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch, is being changed from residential to commercial. Since it's in the county, not the city, that's no problem for the new owners. They are selling the home in parts and pieces, that's why the roof is missing.

TJ employees chose various charities and organizations in Adair County and all over their region to share basic living necessities in this season of Thanksgiving. Pictured are: Rev.
