Dick Fitzpatrick shares tribute to his Linda 2020-07-29 - Columbia, KY - Photo reprinted with permission from the Hart County News-Herald. Dick Fitzpatrick asked that we share this wonderful tribute in honor of his beloved wife Linda Sue Heath Fitzpatrick which was placed in her family's newspaper in Hart County where she grew up. It remembers "our precious ladies from Bonnieville" featuring Linda and best friend Bonita Highbaugh from Hart County High School days. Linda and Dick met at Western Kentucky University, married there, and his work would lead them to Adair County. They celebrated 45 years of marriage surrounded by family, church family and friends last March at their Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Columbia. Today they play on tennis courts at the old Fairgrounds but hope that Columbia/Adair Parks and Recreation will soon provide a dedicated space/court for all Pickle ballers to enjoy. Kentucky Color: Thin Leaf Sunflower 2020-07-28 - Adair Co., KY - Photo by Billy Joe Fudge. Billy Joe writes, "This is a woodland sunflower that is usually three to four feet tall in our area. It is sometimes referred to as Ten Petaled Sunflower even though it can have eight to twelve petals. This is a great time of year to get out for a walk in the woods to find woodland wildflowers for transplanting into your semi-shaded Wildlife Gardens.
