Another winter storm warning begins

Tuesday, February 18, 2025, we are back under a winter storm warning which will remain in effect from at 6pmCT through Wednesday February 19, 11amCT. There's a 20 percent chance of snow after 4pm with a high near 30 during the day and a low around 18. Tuesday night snow, mainly after midnight with new snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

The only state champions in Adair history

Lincoln the Cat in the tree

This was a negative only for many years until the Adair County Genealogy and History Center offered a service that allows for a conversion into a digital photograph. This is Lincoln, one of many cats who have called Fortune Street their home, one of two named for presidents, the other having been Bill Clinton.

Lindsey Wilson College art instructor Dani Ford of Jamestown, Kentucky, stands next to "Sunbather," an acrylic painting on a wood panel that is based on a Polaroid picture taken in the 1970s of Ford's late grandmother.

"Sunbather" is one of the pieces featured in Ford's show, "Live for Me: A Conversation with Grief," which is on display through March 3 in the Lucretia C. Begley Gallery in Lindsey Wilson's W.W. Slider Humanities Center. Ford will give a gallery talk at 2:30pmCT on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
