Richard and Mary Beth Phelps' grandchildren get the use of the prime location at the corner of Jamestown Street and Lowes Lane for their business selling pumpkins, indian corn and hay through the season. Sallie, Nathan, and Hunter Ballou save the seed every year, plant them at their farm on Hwy 704 and sell what they produce. They are the children of Elizabeth and Ben Ballou. They are also the grandchildren of John and Nancy Ballou. The Ballou kids' business is an annual event in the yard of their Mom's parents. They were two of Adair County's foremost historians who passed away in the late 1980s. Congratulations Lindsay Dunbar, MSN APRN FNP-C 2020-09-30 - Adair County, KY - Photo from family collection. Family members are sharing their pride in the successful degree completion of Lindsay Dunbar MSN, APRN, FNP-C. She received her Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) National Board Certification from The American Association of Nurse Practitioners on September 28, 2020. Lindsay received her Masters of Science-Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in August, 2020. After graduating from Adair County High School in 2009, she went on to get two degrees from Campbellsville university - associates of science in nursing (2015) and bachelors of science in nursing (2017). During her schooling, Lindsay worked at lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in women’s health, mostly the newborn nursery, from 2016-2019. Lindsay is the daughter of Barry and Cheryl Corbin of Columbia. Grandparents are Odell and Shirley Corbin, Marshall and Joan Loy, and the late Julia Loy.
