OCC: Old Liberty Community Church

The Old Liberty Community Church dropped off Operation Christmas Child shoe box gifts at the Wheet Fellowship Hall Saturday morning. Pictured is TJ Huddleston. The final two days to drop off shoebox gifts are Sunday from 2pmCT to 4pmCT and Monday from 9amCT to 11amCT.

Sculptures by Adair Co. artist David Waltz at KAC

Adair Artist David Waltz has two of his sculptures on display at Berea's Kentucky Artisans Center. The one at left is titled "Jane Goodall." Goodall was known for her work with chimpanzees and spent much of her adult life in Africa studying them. She named this fellow "Graybeard"and he was the first chimp that befriended her.

The sculpture at right is titled "Harriet Tubman." Tubman was an American abolitionist and political activist. Born into slavery, Tubman escaped and subsequently made some 13 missions to rescue approximately 70 enslaved people, including family and friends, using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad.

Mums on the ground but still blooming

Ready for adoption at Green River Animal Shelter

Update - this puppy has now been adopted, thanks! Green River Animal Shelter shares, "We just got this little man in - he was given to someone and the land lord said gotta go.

They do not know his breed, he is around 7 weeks old. I just wormed him and he is ready for his forever home.

$50 adoption fee pays to have him neutered when he reaches 6 months of age. 270-385-9655 Columbia, KY. Please remember you must make an appointment to adopt."
