Education Scholarship honors Vicki Leibeck-Owsley

ACHS English teacher Vicki Leibeck-Owsley, at left, and with Alex Trebek during her appearance on Jeopardy. Leibeck-Owsley passed away earlier this year after a fierce battle against cancer.

The Adair County Education Association has officially set up a scholarship fund for a senior majoring in education from ACHS in Vicki Leibeck-Owsley's honor. Donations to the scholarship fund may be dropped off at Community Trust Bank, 1005 Jamestown St, Columbia, KY. Checks should be made to "Adair County Education Association", with a note to Vicki Leibeck-Owsley Scholarship Fund on the "for" line. Thank you so much for considering a donation. This money only goes into an account earmarked for the scholarship.

Lost and needing to find home

UPDATE - owners found. Happy ending. This pretty lady came to a house on New Concord Rd. in the Adair County area and was brought in to the Green River Animal Shelter. She is very sweet and will sit on command. If anyone knows her owner please call or message the Shelter. she is on a five-day stray hold and if no owner is found she will go up for adoption or to rescue. Call 270-385-9655. - Tammy
