Branscum comments House Bill 188
 2021-02-12 - Frankfort, KY - Photo courtesy LRC. Rep. Josh Branscum, R-Russell Springs, comments on House Bill 188, a bill that would change the name of the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Parkway to the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Expressway, in the Kentucky House.
The bill would "Direct the Transportation Cabinet to rename the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Parkway the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Expressway, and within 30 days of the effective date, make all changes on maps, Web sites, databases, and official highway lists; allow the Transportation Cabinet to change all highway signs and markings to reflect the name change after signs are damaged or in the course of ordinary maintenance; amend KRS 189.390 to conform."

Attending Adair Fiscal Court meeting

Nine people, including Laura Foust, Ed Darnell, Jason Rector, Libby Moss, and others, were in the audience at the first Adair County Fiscal Court meeting in February 2021. Revenue options were on the agenda for the second time. The public had assumed taxes would be added but after hearing from constituents the Court said they would cut services, beginning with the recycling center.

Greg Caldwell was absent due to the death of his mother. Also present were the Sheriff, Jailor, County Attorney, Fiscal Court Clerk, Treasurer, and Green River Animal Shelter Director.
