Scenic Kentucky: Herrington Lake

An unnamed stream flows into Herrington Lake, not far from Gwinn Island. According to Wikipedia, Herrington Lake is the deepest lake in the state of Kentucky, With a maximum depth of 249 feet (76 m). Dix Dam, the dam that made the lake, was the largest earth-filled dam in the world at the time, and considered to be a major engineering feat.
