Impromptu commencement ceremony in Louisiana

On Sunday, members of LWC's executive administration along with President Luckey held an impromptu commencement ceremony for the senior members of the Lindsey Wilson football program that had to miss the on-campus ceremony to prepare for an appearance in the NAIA national football championship finals. The ceremony was held at the site of the championship game in Grambling, LA.

Courtney Whittle from Columbia, KY, and Diamond Brown from Somerset, KY, pose for a photo before the start of LWC's 113th commencement ceremony. For the first time in college history commencement exercises were held outdoors. The three ceremonies, held at Blue Raider Stadium, took place on the 50 yard line with folding chairs positioned six feet apart to comply with social distancing guidelines.

Human services and counseling graduate Molly Stone

Human services and counseling graduate Molly Stone from Madisonville, Kentucky was excited for her family to have the opportunity to see her walk across the stage to receive her degree. Stone, a center for LWC's women's basketball program, is a first-generation college graduate and her father traveled from Colorado to celebrate with her. LWC held its first-ever commencement ceremony outdoors to accommodate social distancing and safety guidelines.

Officer appreciation
