It's hard to believe 2021 is almost over! For those whose jobs are to schedule and plan there are free calendars available from the Cumberlands Workforce Development Area. These contain extra information and business resources for entrepreneurs in addition to the monthly pages ready to fill in.

CPD requests help identifying car or driver

The Columbia Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying vehicle and operator in the photos above. Vehicle is believed to be involved in a recent theft at storage units on Gaston Avenue.

Nutcracker Ballet 2021 starts Thursday

A Different Drummer Dance Academy in Campbellville will be presenting the Nutcracker Ballet at Taylor County High School on December 2-5, with several local children performing. Anna Peterson writes, "These local kids have worked very hard and, while their show is in Campbellsville, it would mean a lot to have local support from Columbia as well."

Epicurean Kentuckian: classic Thanksgiving table

Classic examples of southern Kentucky Thanksgiving foods are represented in this picture from the Sandidge table in Edmonton - turkey and giblet gravy, mashed potatoes, lima beans, sweet potatoes, baked dressing served in patties, deviled eggs, green peas, and more. The dessert table was separate.
