Columbians enjoy holiday gathering in Utah

Christmas finds Vonnie and George Kolbenschlag gathering with their family and friends at the Snowbird Ski Resort where their son, George, is assistant manager of the ski school.The picture is of the lower portion of the skiing area. The "hills" in the foreground where you can see the skiers hide a much higher 11,000 foot peak accessed by an aerial tram.

Sunset from Christmas at Snowbird Ski Resort

The sunset is taken from the condo at Snowbird Ski Resort looking back towards Salt Lake City. The valley where the city and Salt Lake are can be seen as the little white area where the two mountains converge. It was a white Christmas!

ACSO: Drugs seized during Wednesday search

The Adair County Sheriff's Office seized over a pound of suspected methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl and marijuana during a search at a residence off of Rolling Hills. The street value of the drugs could be as much as $30,000.

The Grinch and Whoville have been the theme of downtown Columbia decorations this Christmas season. The Grinch will be leaving us as we head into the new year, however, UK will continue to rule. Go Cats.

Kentucky Color: Hole in the Sky

What can I say when I have no words; just state the facts maybe?

Libby and I saw a small round hole with a tiny whisper of a funnel shaped cloud descending from its center high above Homeplace on Green River recently. Then as you can see it began to sorta suck a larger and larger hole in the clouds to feed its growing, descending vortex.

Nope, I have no guesses and beg for help from any official, or unofficial for that matter, meteorologists that may be tuned in to CM.
