At the Adair Heritage meeting

Dave Thomas shared ideas for tours through the Columbia Cemetery at the March Adair Heritage meeting. He and Mike Watson will be working to develop a lantern tour during good weather seasons. The first one is scheduled to take place after To The Nines downtown shopping hours the first Friday of April.

Adair and Russell leaders at NADO Conference

Leaders of Adair and Russell Counties from the Lake Cumberland Area Development District attended The National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) and the Development District Association of Appalachia (DDAA) 2022 Washington Conference Sunday through Wednesday.

Conference sessions focused on regional development, the federal landscape, and the programs and policies that matter most to Regional Development Organizations and their stakeholders. From left are: Attorney Derrick Helm, Glenna and Eddie Thomas (Mayor of Russell Springs), Judy Hachey (LCAAD Community Development), Phyllis Payne, Sharon Payne (LCAAD Chair), Madelyn Wright, Waylon Wright, (LCAAD Executive Director), Jeric Devore (LCAAD Executive Deputy Director), and US Representative James Comer.
