The Adair County Sheriff's Office is looking for assistance in locating the owner of this vehicle. The vehicle was observed by security cameras damaging property at the Jim Blair Center on Sunday night, April 17, 2022.

Please call the Adair County Sheriff's Office with any information at 270-384-2776, or Adair 911. You may remain anonymous when calling. Thank You

Those pesky ribbon cutting scissors

Sometimes Beth Ann Holmes can line everybody up perfectly for the official media pictures and everyone says cheeeeese - then those pesky ribbon-cutting scissors fail on the first attempt, causing lots of fun laughter. After Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ellen Zornes gives tips on just how the giant scissors do best, they work perfectly on the second try. The Genealogy and History Center was celebrated Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Columbia's Barry Dunn chosen to lead Kosair Charities

Kosair Charities announced Tuesday that Barry Dunn has been chosen as the organization's next president and CEO. Dunn comes to Kosair Charities after serving as Kentucky's Deputy Attorney General, where he oversaw a nearly 200-member team and was responsible for the strategic initiatives of the office. This included supporting the Attorney General's work to combat child abuse and prosecute child predators.

Celebrating Adair Genealogy and History Research Center

An official Ribbon Cutting event was held on the one year anniversary of the opening of the Adair Genealogy and History Research Center on April 19, 2022. The COVID-19 pandemic had delayed a proper grand opening so this event had great meaning to many who have been involved in its planning and operations over the past decade.

Research Center Anniversary Cake

Today, Tuesday, April 19, 2022, is one-year anniversary of the opening of the Adair Genealogy and History Research Center. They are celebrating with a cake and ribbon cutting this morning, and everyone is welcome to come tour the collections, and rejoice in the history of our county and town.
