Squarecrows 2018 - maybe Ed's favorite downtown event ever By Linda Waggener Ed and I laughed every time we saw the picture at the link below taken during the inaugural Squarecrows event on the Public Square in Columbia. The smiles and laughter the month-long celebration brought made this one of his favorite downtown events in his favorite season. Sometimes I wonder if ColumbiaMagazine.com were to leave just one picture on the front page for all time, what would it be from the 20+ years of photo archives by a multitude of awesome contributing photographers? It just might be this one, taken by Ed in 2015, and christened "Pumpkin Butt", if I remember correctly, by his brother, Ralph Roy. "PB" is one of those rare pieces of art that can be taken in more than one way - a simple health reminder - get your flu shot - when you study the Squarecrow nurse behind him - OR - a National Lampoon style mooning of all who are circling the round Public Square in Columbia, KY. Either way, it's a classic and got so much feedback that HOSA has done it again in 2018, just drive around the square - you can only go one way - and you'll see another version of "PB" just waiting to make you laugh.
