Mitchell Furkins, 54, Columbia, KY (1964-2018) Mitchell was a former logger with Kentucky Tie and Lumber and Whitney & Whitney, and a farmer. Michael "Mitchell" Furkins, 54 of Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 12:10pmCT at his home after several months illness. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 11amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY. Bro. Bob McCann will officiate, and interment will follow in the Furkins Cemetery. The family request visiting after 4pmCT on Wednesday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. He was born July 6, 1964 in Glasgow, KY the son of the late Ural Ray Furkins and Artie Marie Pelston Furkins. He was also preceded in death by two sisters; Della Mae Mandoza and Joyce Janes.
