Rose Merilene 'Mert' Patton Coffman, 74, Casey County, KY

Rose Merilene "Mert" Patton Coffman, of Liberty, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Casey County Hospital. She was 74.

Funeral services are 10amCT/11amET Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY with Bro. Billy Hewitt and Brother Johnny Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-7pmCT/5-8pmET Tuesday at the funeral home.



Born on February 7, 1944, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late John Welby and Francis Maxine Sallee Patton. Mert was a member of Goose Creek Baptist Church. She was a caregiver and loved taking care of others. Mert also loved attention and getting her picture taken.

Survivors include three brothers, Johnny (Judy) Patton of Dunnville, Donald Lee Patton of Columbia, and James (Faye) Patton of Liberty; one sister, Imogene (Donnie) Hiter of Athens, Alabama; a special niece and caregiver, Sherry Roberts of Dunnville; a special relative, Daveia Inscho; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mert is preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Asberry.
