Anita (Torbert) Steigerwald, 102, Adair Co., KY (1916-2018) July 30, 1916 ~ September 12, 2018 (Age 102) She was a native of Madison, GA, and a former resident of Louisville, KY, and a resident of Columbia, KY, at the time of her death here. She was the matriarch of a prominent Adair County, KY family the mother of Georgann Flowers. She was the widow of first Gerald Jeff Thurmond, and later, George Roberts Steigerwald. She leaves seven direct living descendants. She was a member of Melbourne Heights Baptist Church and the Ruth Class. She was married to Gerald Jeff Thurmond, who preceded her in death and later married George Roberts Steigerwald who preceded her in death in 1972. She was a member of Melbourne Heights Baptist Church, Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY and of the Ruth Class there. Survivors include:
