Darryl Smith: Found check to station in Calhoun Co. Iowa?

Darryl Smith writes:
Hi Ed. I'm going to speculate here and I may be way off; but I believe the check is made out to Cal Car Service, "Cal" as in Calhoun County Iowa where Lohrville is.

There is a Joseph Chessar Blair (1873-1953) buried in Lake City, Calhoun County, Iowa.

His father is from Fentress County, Tennessee and his mother is from Casey County, KY. J.C. Blair has siblings and children buried in Adair, KY, so there is a definite connection to this area. You can view J.C. Blair's memorial on Find A Grave, #80728362.
