She was highly respected. She was a homemaker, a clerk for 25 years, assistant manager of the Five and Dime and a member of the Green River Christian Church. She was a native of Yosemite, KY and a resident of the community at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Irvin Loften Short & Della Browning Short and the widow of Coy Thomas "Jiggs" Judd. She leaves five direct living descendants.

Billy Jean Judd age 89, of Yosemite, KY passed away on Friday August 31, 2018 at Liberty Care Center, Liberty, KY.

Funeral Services will be held 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Bill Hill officiating. Burial will in the Middleburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held starting 9:30amCT/10:30amCT, Tuesday September 4, 2018 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

Billy Jean Judd age 89, passed away on Friday August 31, 2018 at Liberty Care Center. She was born in Yosemite, Casey County, KY on January 5, 1929. She was a daughter of the late Irvin Loften Short & Della Browning Short. She died Friday August 31, 2018, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 89 years, seven monthsm and 26 days.

Billy Jean was the widow of Coy Thomas "Jiggs" Judd who passed away on March 23rd, 2011.

Billy Jean was a Homemaker, a clerk for 25 years, assistant manager of the Five and Dime and a member of the Green River Christian Church.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter - Glenda Rae and (Raymond) Mernaugh of Franklin, TN

  • Son-in-law - Joseph Tingle of Bedford, KY

  • Two grandchildren - Kyle Tingle of Mt. Washington, KY; and Julie Mernaugh of Murfreesboro, TN

  • Two great grandchildren - Abbie and Ellie Tingle
Besides her parents and spouse she was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Lynn Tingle and one brother, Glen Short.
