She was a homemaker, a clerk for 25 years, assistant manager of the Five and Dime and a member of the Green River Christian Church. She was a native of Yosemite, KY and a resident of the community at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Irvin Loften Short & Della Browning Short and the widow of Coy Thomas "Jiggs" Judd. She leaves five direct living descendants.
