Cute little puppies and kittens grow up to be adult dogs and cats. if you are going to get a pet, do your research on the breed. Be ready to take on the responsibility. And remember, a dog license is a requirement and part of taking care of your Animal. If I am correct in the County of Adair you pay $10 per dog, or $25 for 3 or more, yearly - 7/1/2018 to 7/1/2019. Let’s get this done! Click on headline for complete editorial By Mitzi Bault As many know I am an Animal fan. Kentucky is way behind on Animal Cruelty Laws. With different acts of Animal Cruelty in several counties in Kentucky, the last ten years very few Animals got the help that they need. Some cases got a pat on their hands and all Animals back. While others had to pay a fine and did not get Animals back. And all cases were close to the same. Counties had to cough up a lot of Vet fees, room and board. I am not sure if anyone had to pay the counties back. Here it is in August and yes, I am behind. I'm just paying my Dog Licenses. If I am correct in the County of Adair you must pay $10.00 per dog or $25 for 3 or more yearly (7/1 /18 to 7/1/19). In some States you must have your pet spayed or neutered. If not, you are fined. If you have a licensed kennel you must be inspected by county or state. By doing this you do not have all the shelter's full. Animals are not toys, if you cannot afford to give a cat or dog a good home don't get one! Cute little puppies and cats grow up to be adults. We have a Basset Hound that it's owner's bought for their son in Casey County. They had her fixed which was a good thing, but the little boy decided that he didn't want her so he got a different dog. Later they moved and left the Hound. After several months we got a call. Our family has had six Bassets, all rescues, well two I bought because they were very mistreated, a puppy mill. So I bought the Momma and Daddy. They were taken straight to my Vet. My Grandchildren had their heads out of the windows on the way to the Vet because of the feces and maggots. After that, those two, Mr. & Ms. Buster Brown, lived the rest of their lives on McKinley Lane and Ms. Sandy Brown did not have to ever have more puppies. Please if you are going to get a pet, do your research on the breed. Be ready to take on the responsibility. I would love to see all citizens to call Frankfort and ask our Kentucky leaders to help the Animals of Kentucky. - Mitzi Bault This story was posted on 2018-08-28 21:14:57
