Columbia Police arrest Adair Co. man on ID theft, drug charges Incident occurs on Dohoney Trace. Ofc. Johnny Dial and K-9 unit Gunny investigate occupant in truck who appeared to be passed out. Ofc. Dial makes arrest on several allegations. Suspect lodged in Adair County Regional Jail. NOTE: An arrest is not a finding of guilt. Josh Brockman, Public Information Officer Columbia Police Department, Jason Cross Chief On Sunday, August 26, 2018, while on patrol, K-9 Officer John Dial located a white male sitting inside truck in the area of Dahoney Trace. The occupant appeared to be asleep or passed out. Officer initiated contact with occupant to check on them and it was determined he was under the influence of an intoxicating substance. Officer Dial deployed his K-9 Gunny after his investigation revealed there may be controlled substance in vehicle. The K-9 gave a positive indicator on location of drugs and marijuana was recovered from the vehicle. Occupant was also found to be in possession of another persons identification cards and financial information. Corey Polk, age 28, was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of - Public Intoxication (excludes alcohol)Officer John Dial and K-9 Gunny are investigating officers This story was posted on 2018-08-28 16:34:56
