Twenty-four downtown businesses stayed open late for "To The Nines" night market on the second Friday in August, with very positive results reported. More are scheduled to open for the September 14, 2018 event according to Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ellen Zornes.

She gave credit for the organizational work to Chamber President Pam Hoots for doing the groundwork, contacting and inviting all business owners to the table for crucial planning and marketing focus.

Each month brings with it the challenges of the season and the September 14th night market will likely have competing events going on. The businesses will be staying open late in hopes customers need and want to make use of the extra hours every month, even in busy ones.

Dates have been set for To The Nines night market through the fourth quarter for October 12, November 9, and December 14, 2018.
