Born in Jamestown, KY June 7, 1929, she was a daughter of Dora (Ford) and Walter Halsell. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Arthur Smith; three sisters - Mildred Antle, Margaret Collins, and Ruth Nelson; and by five brothers - William, Wilbur, Ralph, Elmer and Earl Halsell.

Ruby M. Smith, 89, of Jamestown, KY passed away on August 27, 2018 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home.

Graveside Services will be held at 11amCT Wednesday August 29, 2018 at the Jack Lawless Cemetery in Jamestown, KY with Aaron Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Jack Lawless Cemetery.

She was born in Jamestown, KY on June 7, 1929 a daughter of the late Dora (Ford) and Walter Halsell. She died Monday, August 27, 2018, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years, two months, and 20 days.

She is survived by
  • Two sons - Larry, husband of Brenda Smith, of Jamestown, KY; and Leonard, husband of Debbie Smith, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Brother - Wayne, husband of Linda Halsell, of Jamestown, KY

  • Two sisters - Anna Collins, of Russell Springs, KY; and Betty Wilson, of Louisville, KY

  • Three grandchildren - Shawn(Angie)Smith, Caitlin(Aaron)Roberts, and Zach Smith.

  • Two great grandchildren - Abigail, Grace and Isaac William Roberts
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Arthur Smith; three sisters - Mildred Antle, Margaret Collins, and Ruth Nelson; five brothers - William, Wilbur, Ralph, Elmer and Earl Halsell.
