Jeanie was a clerk at Walmart and attended Cedar Point Baptist Church. She was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Harley Hugh & Lura Opal Tucker West. Her husband, Lee Fortune, survives, as do three siblings.

Jeanie S. Fortune, 69, of Russell Springs, died Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service for Jeanie S. Fortune will be 1pmCT, Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Tyler Ford officiating. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Tuesday. Interment in the Square Oak Cemetery.

She was born May 20, 1949 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Harley Hugh & Lura Opal Tucker West. She died Saturday, August 25, 2018, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 69 years, three months, and five days.

Jeanie was a clerk at Walmart and attended Cedar Point Baptist Church.

Survivors include:
  • Her husband - Lee Fortune, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two brothers - Garlin West, and Michael Ray West, both ofRussell Springs, KY

  • One sister - Betty Lou Owens, Marietta, IN
