Preschool begins at Campbellsville Elementary

By Calen McKinney

Campbellsville Elementary School preschool classes began Monday, Aug. 20.

About 40 students began classes with teachers Denise Spencer and Julie Shelton, and assistants Lisa Durham and Tesa Novak, respectively.

Students spent the first day of school listening to stories, coloring, playing with their new friends, learning classroom procedures and rules and much more.

CES preschool students also played on the playground and enjoyed lunch together.

Enrollment in the CES preschool program is open ended. Students have to meet criteria for acceptance into the program, which is open to children ages 3 to kindergarten.

Ricky Hunt is director.
