CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - "We have had people praying for this for 40 days. Constantly praying every hour," Judy Ball, co-founder of Ignite America, said at the kick off of the four-day conference.

From August 2 through August 5, 2018, Campbellsville University hosted the spiritual revival Ignite America on her campus for the fourth consecutive year after beginning its partnership in 2015. Founded by Jerry and Judy Ball, Ignite is dedicated to providing those in attendance with an experience of transformation and enabling them to be witnesses for Christ on college campuses.

Each year Ignite presents numerous speakers who come from all of the United States and the world. At this year's event, participants heard from a variety of individuals such as CU alumnus Max Vitori and the Conover Education Center head basketball coach Herve Kouna, a native of Cameroon. Other CU speakers included Jocky Christian, Choe Sergent, Brianna Shelby and Jamie Lawrence. Students on campus early for the semester and Church Outreach team members also attended over the weekend.

"It's been an honor to see Ignite America develop over the three years I've been going. Building relationships with my family in the faith from around the country has been an incredible experience," Cody Jones, a senior at Campbellsville University, said.

Bringing together people of all backgrounds and denominations, Ignite America was inspired after the Balls began a ministry focused on reaching Ivy League schools, Ignite Ivy. The following year they felt the Lord calling them to "Ignite America" and the journey began. The group travels throughout a number of states and reaches new people each year.

Campbellsville University is a widely-acclaimed Kentucky-based Christian university with more than 10,000 students offering over 90 programs of study including 20 master's degrees, six postgraduate areas and seven pre-professional programs. The university has off-campus centers in Kentucky cities Louisville, Harrodsburg, Somerset, Hodgenville and Liberty with instructional sites in Elizabethtown, Owensboro and Summersville, all in Kentucky, and one in Costa Mesa, Calif., and a full complement of online programs.
