Confessed murderer Big Harp was executed and decapitated in 1799. Among his victims was the young son of Columbia founder Daniel Trabue. More than 60 years later, as the Civil War rages, the river town of Greensburg, Kentucky, is engulfed in terror. A foreboding man with a shocking neck scar roams the streets at night. A stranger arrives who was a member of the posse which caught Big Harp those many years ago. The stranger knows who is responsible for the horror in Greensburg, and what has to be done.
