She was a native of Bell County, KY, and a resident of Cumberland County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Queen & Eva (Mink) Smith, and the widow of husbands Kenny Davidson and Jerry Adams. She was a member of the Dutch Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a telemarketer at Master Artist Studios.

Ruby (Smith) Davidson Adams, 67 passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at The University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY.

The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at 11amCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery in Burkesville, KY. The family will receive friends after 12pmNoonCT, on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 until the funeral hour on Wednesday.

She was born in Pineville, Bell County, KY, on Wednesday, February 21, 1951. She was the daughter of Queen & Eva (Mink) Smith. She died Sunday, August 5, 2018, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 67 years, five months, and 15 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenny Davidson and Jerry Adams; brothers, Willard Smith, Carl Smith, Queen Smith Jr.; sisters, Marie Smith, Naomi Smith, Juanita Smith; nephews, Brian and Kevin.

She is survived by:
  • Her daughter - Nikki (and John) McCloughan of Burkesville, KY

  • Stepsons - Steven (and Jessica) Adams of Scottsville, KY; Jason Adams of Glasgow, KY; and Michael Adams of Glasgow, KY

  • Sister - Alice (and Carl) Baker of Pineville, KY

  • Brother - Glen Ray Smith of Pineville, KY

  • Grandchildren - Jordan McCloughan, Caleb McCloughan

  • Several step-grandchildren
