She was a member of Pierce Chapel Baptist Church, a housewife and loved to work outside. She was a member of a highly respected Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late Chester & Elsie Burton Lawhorn and the widow of Robert Shelby Loy. Her final resting place will be at the Loy Cemetery, Fairplay, KY

Eula Loy 82 years of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 1pmCT, at the Green Hill Rehabilitation Care Center in Greensburg, KY.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Stanley Watson & Bro. Jessie Hagan the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Loy Cemetery, Loy Cemetery, KY 704, Fairplay, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at the funeral home.

She was born on October 18, 1935 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Chester & Elsie Burton Lawhorn. She died Saturday, August 4, 2018, iin Greensburg, Green County, KY, at the age of 82 years, nine months, and 17 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Robert Shelby Loy on March 27, 1991.

She is survived by:
  • Two sisters - Bertha Marr of Campbellsville, KY; and Evelyn Bunch of Glens Fork, KY

  • Two brothers - Ray (Brenda) Lawhorn of Columbia, KY; and Raymond (Vernice) Lawhorn of Columbia, KY

  • Sister-in-law - Bonnie Lawhorn of Columbia, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And a host of other relatives & friends
She was a member of Pierce Chapel Baptist Church, a housewife & loved to work outside.
