Leonard Arthur Krug, 86, Adair County, KY (1932-2018) January 17, 1932 ~ August 2, 2018 (Age 86) He attended Rockhurst High School and the University of Missouri and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955. He received his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School. He was active in community theater and became a member of Actors' Equity in Chicago. After retiring to KY, he appeared frequently at Barnlot Theater in Edmonton, KY, where, under the stage name Lee Barko, he played such roles as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, Mr. Potter in It's a Wonderful Life, Uncle Harvey in June Groom, Harry Roat in Wait until Dark, Dr. Einstein in Arsenic and Old Lace, Valencio in The Bold, the Young and the Murdered, Willie Clark in The Sunshine Boys, and Bob Ewell in To Kill a Mockingbird. He was the son of the late William & Fannie Ginsburg Krug. He died Thursday, August 2, 2018, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 86 years, six months, and 16 days. He attended Rockhurst High School and the University of Missouri and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955. He received his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School. Interested in acting from an early age, he was active in community theater and became a member of Actors' Equity in Chicago.
