Mary Alice Moss Whittle, formerly of Columbia, KY (1967-2018)

She was a native of Indianapolis, IN, and a resident of Covington, KY, at the time of her death. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was the daughter of the late Jerry & Irene Crawhorn Dial. She was a member of a large, close-knit family, whose successes have been remarkable. There were 12 children, six girls and six boys. With her death, 10 survive, including five brothers and five sisters. She leaves four direct living descendants. Her life partner, Jerome Robinson, Covington, KY, survives.

Mary Alice Moss Whittle, 51, of Covington, KY, formerly of Columbia, KY, died Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 8:51pmET at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY, after an illness.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ralph Foster officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 10amCT Wednesday, at the funeral home.



Mary Alice Moss Whittle, 51, formerly of Columbia, KY (1967-2018)


She was born Tuesday, February 7, 1967, in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN. She was the daughter of the late Jerry & Irene Crawhorn Dial. She died Saturday, July 28 2018, in Edgewood, Kenton County, KY, at the age of 51 years, five months, and 21 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry & Irene Crawhorn Dial; and a brother; Leland "Bear" Pelston.

She was a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter - Jessica Whittle of Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Two sons - Kenny Whittle of Columbia, KY; and Eric Whittle and his fiance, Chelsea Dietrich of Erlanger, KY

  • Five brothers - Harrison, Reed, Jimmy, Jerry, and William Moss, all of Columbia, KY

  • Five sisters - Clara Maggard, Bonnie Powell, Nancy Abernathy, and Debbie Foley, all of Columbia, KY; and Betty Milby of Somerset, KY

  • One grandchild - Grayson

  • Her life-partner - Jerome Robinson of Covington, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends
