Routine traffic stop in Holy Cross, KY leads to drug arrest

Trooper Clint Bale made routine stop on Green ATV on Reuben Smith Road in Holy Cross. Driver arrested, lodged in Marion County Detention center, facing multiple allegations beyond citation for operating ATV on Roadway, including drug charges.
Note: An arrest is not a finding of guilt. An individual placed under arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

MARION COUNTY, KY (Fri 27 Jul 2018) On July 25, 2018 at approximately 7:01pmET, Trooper Clint Bale conducted a routine traffic stop on a green ATV, in the limits of Holy Cross on Rueben Smith Road.




As Trooper Bale was approaching the driver, 43 year old James Pinkston of Bardstown, KY, he observed Pinkston trying to conceal a small aluminum foil package and a small plastic bag underneath his leg.

Pinkston informed Trooper Bale that the substances in the packages were methamphetamine and marijuana.

Pinkston was then arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine,) possession of marijuana, operating atv on roadway, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Pinkston was lodged in the Marion County Detention Center, Lebanon, KY.
