The local history and genealogy department of the Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, was the place to be Thursday morning, July 19, 2018,. Several researchers were on had to keep history alive. These three young assistants were hard at work clipping obituaries and other historically significant articles from area newspapers. Morrison family documenting their Revolutionary War ancestors at ACPL

The Morrison family members are working on documenting their Revolutionary War ancestors in an effort to join the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), through the local Jane Lampton Chapter. Dr. Mary Donna Foley is assisting Shirley Montgomery Morrison, her son Dr. Robert Dean Morrison, and his lovely daughters, Andrea Michelle, Nicole, and Emily Morrison. The Morrison are descendants of Francis Montgomery, Sr. And William Hurt, Sr. T - Mike Watson
