Black Stallion Steakhouse expected to open around 1st of August
Adair County Judge Exectutive Mike Stephens, a partner in Pinewood Shopping Center, reported at the July 17, 2018, meeting that the Black Stallion Steakhouse, 202 Will Walker Road, Pinewood Shopping Center, Columbia, KY, is now fully staffed and that 30 employees are in training, with an expected opening around the first of August 2018.



Judge Stephens said that the restaurant will have an invitation only dinner on the evening of Thursday, July 26, 2018.

Chairman Dykes comments on Whayne Supply opening
Chairman Mark Dykes reported that Whayne Supply has hired at least one employee for its new distribution center in Holladay place. The building is now well underway, but nothing beyond the size, 8,400 s.f. was disclosed at he meeting.

Two other business prospects - one hopeful - one not so much.
Chairman Dykes alluded to two prospective businesses being recruited. One he said, had not completed a proposed meeting for last week, but he said he is more hopeful that Columbia may be in line for a new distillery the EDA is now in early negotiations to secure. He said that availability grain, good water, location are factors.
