He was a member of the Solid Rock Church in Russell Springs, KY and a self employed truck driver. He was a member of a large, respected, Northwestern Adair County, KY family. He was the son of Clayton & Marilyn Wilson Baker, who survive, as does his wife, Darlene Brock Baker. He leaves 11 direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in Columbia, KY, at Haven Hill Cemetery.

Robert Clayton Baker, 55, of the Portland community of Adair County, died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 5:07amCT, at his home after a short illness.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Pastor Wayne Keith and Bro. Bill Wilson officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Monday, July 2, 2018. Casket Bearers will be Barney Janes, Buddy Stilts, Michael Janes, Walker Chapman, Dennis Wilson, Benny Wilson, and Sammy Martin.

Robert Clayton Baker, 55, Adair County, KY (1963-2018)

He was born March 18, 2018. He was the son of Clayton & Marilyn Wilson Baker, who survive. He died Sunday, July 1, 2018, at his home in the Portland community of Adair County, KY, at the age of 55 years, three months, and 14 days.

He was a member of Solid Rock Church in Russell Springs, KY, and a self-employed Truck Driver.

Survivors include:
  • His wife - Darlene Brock Baker of Portland, KY

  • His parents - Clayton and Marilyn Wilson Baker of Columbia, KY

  • Four daughters - Denver (Justin) Chapman of Columbia, KY; Krystal (John Christiansen) Baker of North Carolina, Nequila (Bobby) Norris and Brooklyn Bardin, both of Columbia, KY

  • Seven grandchildren - Walker, Justice, and Jazmine Chapman, Kinnley Christiansen, Jace Mackenzie, Gunner Norris, and Waylon Biggerstaff.

  • Several other relatives and friends
