Billy Dean Humble, formerly of Russell County, (1941-2018)


He was a factory worker. He was the patriarch of a respected Russell County, KY family. He was the son of the late John Elliot & Vonnie Lee Popplewell Humble. With his passing, two siblings of the seven children born to John Elliott and Vonnie Lee Popplewell survive. He was the widower of Joan Foley Humble. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Billy Dean Humble, 76, of Louisville, formerly of Russell County, died Monday June 25, 2018 at the home of his son.

Funeral service for Billy Dean Humble will be 10amCT Monday, July 2, 2018, at Poplar Grove Baptist Church, Russell County, KY. with Bro. Danny Haynes officiating. Visitation 5pm-8pmCT. Sunday, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY and after 8amCT Monday until the service, at the church, Interment will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.



Billy Dean Humble, 76, formerly of Russell County, (1941-2018)

He was born September 21, 1941 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late John Elliot & Vonnie Lee Popplewell Humble. He died Monday June 25, 2018, at the age of 76 years, nine months, and four days.

Billy was a factory worker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Foley Humble; and four siblings, Bland Humble, James Humble, Nannie Brockman, Eudora Cooper.

Survivors are:
  • Son: Michael Humble, Elizabethtown, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Zachary Humble, Grant Humble

  • Two brothers: Calvin (Janet) Humble, Russell Springs, KY; Avery Humble, Louisville, KY

  • One sister: Margaret (Randy) Gosser, Indianapolis, IN

  • Send condolences to the family of Billy Dean Humble.

    Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
