James Edward (Jim) Davidson, 65, Burkesville, KY (1952-2018)

He was a veteran of of the United States Navy serving for eleven years, and a former employee of Cumberland Valley Manor where he worked for 12 years. He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was a member of a respected family, the son of the late James Barlow Davidson & Grace Wright Staley. His wife, Lynn Davidson, survives. He leaves five direct living descendants.

James Edward "Jim" Davidson, age 65 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Cumberland County Hospital.

The family will receive friends 3pm-8pmCT, Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. In accordance with Jim's wishes the family has chosen cremation.

Jim was born on August 05, 1952 in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late James Barlow Davidson & Grace Wright Staley. He died Saturday, June 23, 2018, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 65 years, 10 months, and 18 days.

He was a veteran of of the United States Navy serving for eleven years, and a former employee of Cumberland Valley Manor where he worked for 12 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernie Dale Davidson and Wayne Davidson, and one sister, Golda Mae Davidson.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Lynn Davidson of Burkesville, KY

  • Two daughters: Samantha Lee (and Eric) Cole of Albany, KY; and Laeli Nicole (and Michael) Bowden of Monroe, TN

  • One sister: Nancy Goodman of Burkesville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Ariah Liberty Cole, Bell Dandy Eve Bowden, and Michael Vasko Bowden

  • And a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends
