Janet MacHattie, 84, Casey County, KY (1934-2018)

She was a homemaker, a native of Schenectady County, NY, and a resident of Casey County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Raymond & Martha Veil Quivey. Her husband, Alan Robert MacHattie, survives. She leaves 24 direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery, Nancy, KY.

Janet Rae MacHattie age 84, of Liberty, KY passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY.

Memorial service will be at 6pmCT/7pmET, Wednesday May 16, 2018 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with pastors Kim and Rodney Koger officiating. Burial will be held Thursday May 17, 2018 at Mill Springs National Cemetery, 9044 KY-80, Nancy, Pulaski County, KY. Visitation will be held 5pmCT/6pmET, Wednesday May 16, 2018 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

Janet Rae MacHattie was born in Schenectady, Schenectady County, NY on May 2, 1934. She was a daughter of the late Raymond & Martha Veil Quivey. She died Saturday, May 12, 2018, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 84 years, 10 days.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include:
  • Her spouse: Alan Robert MacHattie

  • Two sons: Rob Roy MacHattie and Jon Alan MacHattie both of Wells, NY

  • One daughter: Leah Denise Kelty of Liberty, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Eleven great grandchildren

  • And one sister: Nancy Quivey of New York
Preceding her in death besides her parents were one daughter: Rae Beth MacHattie, and one grandchild.
