LWC Men's Basketball signs Matt Eldridge for 2018-19 campaign "Matt is a great fit for our program. He is an excellent student and an outstanding young man both on and off the court. He will represent LWC well" - COACH PAUL PECK Click on headline for complete story By Charles Balcom COLUMBIA, KY - (Thu 10 May 2018) The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball program has added Matt Eldridge to the team for the 2018-19 season, head coach Paul Peck announced on Thursday. Eldridge transfers to the Blue Raiders from Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Michigan. A native of Romulus, Michigan, Eldridge helped lead Henry Ford to a 23-8 record last season, claiming the regular season conference championship. He was named a First Team All-Eastern Conference selection, named to the First Team Region 12 squad, earned Eastern Conference Co-Defensive MVP honors and named a First Team All Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) honoree. The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 13.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game last season. He did so while shooting 61 percent from the floor, 36 percent from 3-point range and 78 percent from the free throw line. "Matt is a great fit for our program. He is an excellent student and an outstanding young man both on and off the court. He will represent LWC well," Peck said. "On the court, he is the type of four player that is great in our offense. Matt can shoot the ball well, even from the 3-point line, and he can handle the ball and pass well. We expect him to be a great teammate for the rest of the Blue Raiders."
