Marvine Epp Crutcher, 77, Casey County, KY (1941-2018)

Marvine was a retired deputy sheriff at the Casey County Sheriff's Office. She attended Liberty First Baptist Church and was a trustee on the Casey County Library Board from 1992-2002. Marvine was later on the Casey County Library advisory board for several years. She had a wonderful sense of humor with an upbeat attitude and she truly never met a stranger. She was the daughter of the late Marvin and Helen Volkman Epp. Her husband of 40 years, Thomas "Tom" Crutcher, survives. She leaves 22 direct living descendants.

Marvine Epp Crutcher, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at her residence. She was 77.

The funeral service will be held at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, on Friday, May 11, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 352 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Crutcher Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.



Marvine Epp Crutcher, 77, Casey County, KY (1941-2018)


Born on April 9, 1941, in Los Angeles, CA, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Helen Volkman Epp. She died Tuesday, May 9, 2018, at the age of 77 years, 29 days.

Marvine was a retired deputy sheriff at the Casey County Sheriff's Office. She attended Liberty First Baptist Church and was a trustee on the Casey County Library Board from 1992-2002. Marvine was later on the Casey County Library advisory board for several years. She had a wonderful sense of humor with an upbeat attitude and she truly never met a stranger.

She is survived by:
  • Her husband: Thomas "Tom" Crutcher, whom she wed on November 19, 1977

  • Three daughters: Cindy Cordon of Berea, Ohio; Wendy (Dale) Knight of Liberty, KY; and Doree (Howard) Heckman of Liberty, KY

  • Two sons: Scott (AdriAne) Carroll of Bonita, CA; and Tom Crutcher of Moreland, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Eight great-grandchildren
