He was a member of an outstanding Adair County, KY family. He was the son of the late Garnett and Mary Yarberry Loy. He was a retired farmer and a member of Hutchison Community Church. He leaves seven direct living descendants.

Raymond Loy, 75, of Columbia, KY, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jon Loy and Bro. Steve Pescosolido officiating. Burial in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 4pmCT, Thursday, May 10, 2018, at the funeral home.



Raymond Loy, 75, Adair County, KY (1942-2018)


He was born November 23, 1942, in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Garnett and Mary Yarberry Loy. He died Saturday May 5, 2018, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 75 years, five months, and 12 days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Austin Loy.

Raymond was a retired farmer and a member of Hutchison Community Church.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters: Damita Loy of Debary, FL and Hanna Rowe and husband, Billy, of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Bruce Loy of Columbia, KY; and Hindman Loy of Shepherdsville, KY

  • One sister: Marie Grider of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Dustin Stapleton and Olivia Day

  • Three great-grandchildren: Chloe and Braxton Stapleton and Annelise Day

  • His attendant care provider: Donita Spoon

  • Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
