She was a member of Fairdale United Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. She was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY, with 30 plus years and was a homemaker. She was a member of a highly regarded Gradyville, Adair County, KY family. She was the daughter of the late William Bill & Kizzie Janes Richard and the widow of Billy C. Sneed. She leaves two direct living descendants.

Margie Richard Sneed age 74 of the Jones Chapel Community, Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday May 1, 2018 at 1:43pmCT, at her home.

Funeral services Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Bobby Withers the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Thursday, after 4:30 PM Thursday, May 3, 2018.



Pallbearers will be Eric Shirley, Mike Parnell, Jeremy Sneed, Ronald Gadberry, Terry Davis and Johnny Richard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Hayes, Lonnie Grant, Jamie Richard, Bobby Sneed, and Chandler Wilson.

She was born on May 30, 1943 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late William Bill & Kizzie Janes Richard. She died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 74 years, 11 months, and one day. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy C. Sneed, on Jan. 31, 2012; one brother Pete Richard; four sisters, Maggie Sneed, Bernice Taylor, Artie Lee Aaron and Margaret Davis.

She is survived by:
  • One son: Tony Sneed & his special friend Melissa Moore of Columbia, KY

  • Granddaughter: Natalie (Joe) Marcum

  • One brother: L.T. (Gay) Richard of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Lucy Long of Columbia, KY

  • Special friends: Mike, Sherry & Benisha Parnell

  • Several nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends
