CTA students from Green, Adair, Taylor, Metcalfe win awards

Damon Hicks, Board Member of the Jim Blair Recreation Center and owner of Damon's CTA, a competitive all-star cheer team of students from Green, Adair, Taylor and Metcalfe Counties, announced recent winners. Team members are ages 7-14 who trained and competed in local and regional competitions from August 2017 to March 2018.



On March 17, 2018 the CTA Predators participated in the Cheer Elite National Championships in Lexington, KY where they placed third in the Junior Level Two competition. The Stunt Group also received second place overall and was awarded Best Stunts in Level Three competition.

A new season is approaching and Damon's CTA is accepting applicants for the youth, junior and senior cheer teams as well as a junior hip-hop dance team. Tryouts will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 9amCT-12noonCT at the Jim Blair Recreation Center, 901 Hudson Street, Columbia, KY.
