Hubert Dean Paxton, 65, Green County, KY (1952-2018)

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was also owner and operator of the Green River Body Shop for 50 plus years and a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM. He was a member of an honored Green County, KY family, the son of the late Aubrey H. Paxton and Nora Dell Wilcoxson Paxton. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christie Lee Bagby Paxton. He leaves 12 direct living descendants.

Mr. Hubert Dean Paxton, 65, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Green Hill Rehab and Care Center, Greensburg.

The funeral services for Mr. Hubert Dean Paxton will be conducted at 1pmCT, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery, 525 Temperance Road, Greensburg, KY. Bro. Curtis Slinker will officiate. Visitation is 4pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, April 17, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Wednesday until time of the funeral service. There will be a Masonic Rite Service held at 6pmCT, Tuesday evening at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home conducted by the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM.

Hubert Dean Paxton, 65, Green County, KY (1952-2018)

Mr. Hubert Dean Paxton, son of the late Aubrey H. Paxton and Nora Dell Wilcoxson Paxton, was born on Friday, May 2, 1952 in Green County, KY, and and departed this life on Friday, April 13, 2018 in Greensburg, Green County, KY. He was 65 years, 11 months, and 11 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was also owner and operator of the Green River Body Shop for 50 plus years and a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM.

Survived by his wife of 30 years, Christie Lee Bagby Paxton, of Greensburg, having united in marriage on May 1, 1987.

Other survivors include:
  • Two sons and a daughter-in-law: Hubert Scott and Karin Paxton of Mt. Washington, KY; and Jonathan Lewis Paxton of Elizabethtown, KY

  • A daughter and son-in-law: Chasity Lee and Thomas Price of Greensburg, KY
  • Seven grandchildren: Nicholas Scott Paxton of Mt. Washington, KY; Gracie and Emma Paxton both of Elizabethtown, KY; Courtney Williams of Mt. Washington, KY; Kelsay Williams of Florida, Elijah Price and Emma Price both of Greensburg, KY
  • Two great-grandchildren: Ava Chesser and Auria Glass both of Mt. Washington, KY

  • Mother-in-law: Nancy Bagby of Greensburg, KY

  • A brother and sister-in-law: Charles Authur and Patricia Paxton of North Carolina

  • A sister and brother-in-law: Wanda and Jerry Long of Greensburg, KY

  • A brother-in-law: Greg Bagby of Florida

  • Nephews: Steven Paxton, Beau Paxton, Chad Paxton, and Jason Long

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Paxton was also preceded in death by two nephews: Dewayne Long and Robert Allen Long.
