He leaves a large family to carry on his legacy, including eight children who reside in Columbia, KY; Green County, KY; Indiana, Michigan and many other descendants and relatives. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Friday until the funeral hour at 2pmCT. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, 525 Temperance Road, Greensburg, KY, with Full Military Honors provided by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard and the Patriot Guard Riders of Kentucky. He was the son of the late Alonzo H. Babbitt and Ossie Belle Steen Babbitt. He departed this life Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, having attained the age of seventy-one years and eight months. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his former wife, Shirley Babbitt, five brothers and two sisters: Raymond Overstreet, Nina Croninger, Robert, Clifford, J.D., Darrell and Bonnie Mae Babbitt.
