Bro. Robbie Spencer, 52, Taylor Co., KY/Adair Co, KY native (1965-2018)

He professed faith in Christ and was the current pastor of East Campbellsville Church of God. He had also served as pastor at Arwood Church of God and Gordon Road Church of God in Virginia. He was a very talented song-writer, musician and artist. He loved his family, church and sharing the Gospel with all he knew. Robbie was instrumental in starting the Fe India Children's orphanage and had a heart for mission work. He was born in Adair County, KY. the son of Bro. Ben Spencer and Shirley Saunders Spencer, who survive, as does his wife, Denise Davis Spencer. He leaves seven direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in Marion County, KY.

Bro. Robbie Spencer, 52, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 1:55amET, Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Brad Epperson and Bro. Dennis Creech. Burial will be in Benningfield Cemetery, Marion County, KY. Visitation will be 3pm-7pmCT/4pm-8pmET, Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Bro. Robbie Spencer, Taylor Co/Adair Co. native KY (1965-2018)


Bro. Robbie Spencer of Campbellsville, KY, was the son of Bro. Ben Spencer and Shirley Saunders Spencer, both of whom survive. He was born September 28, 1965, in Adair County, KY. He died, Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 52 years, five months, and 25 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was the current pastor of East Campbellsville Church of God. He had also served as pastor at Arwood Church of God and Gordon Road Church of God in Virginia.

He was a very talented song-writer, musician and artist. He loved his family, church and sharing the Gospel with all he knew.

Robbie was instrumental in starting the Fe India Children's orphanage and had a heart for mission work.

He united in marriage to Denise Davis on April 6, 1985.

Besides his wife, Denise Spencer of Campbellsville, he is survived by:
  • Two sons and three daughters: Ben Spencer, Caleb Spencer and Bethany Wilson and husband, Joshua all of Campbellsville, KY; Sarah Holt and husband, David of Elk Horn, KY; and Emily Spencer of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Four granddaughters: Maylee and Alaina Holt of Elk Horn, KY; and Emma and Evelyn Wilson of Campbellsville, KY

  • Both parents: Bro. Ben and Shirley Spencer of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three brothers and five sisters: Marty Spencer and wife, Dana, Brian Spencer and wife, Michelle and Tonya Hagan and husband, Greg, all of Campbellsville, KY; Djuana Nolley and husband, Greg of Elk Horn, KY; Dwayne Spencer and wife, Tammy of Cookville, TN; Lori Perez and husband, Ramiro of Elizabethton, TN; Rhonda Nunez and husband, Luis of Homestead, FL; and Barbara Jean Swenson and husband, Pete of Lebanon, MO

  • His mother-in-law, Beverly Davis of Campbellsville

  • His father-in-law: Terry Davis of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends.
    • He was also preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Spencer.
