Test yourself: How do CM-7 Counties Compare re: foreign born

Based on U.S. Census Quick Facts for 2012-2016, the latest statistics for this fact.

By Ed Waggener, Coumbia Magazine.com

Before clicking Read More for the answers, test yourself:
1)____________. 2)____________. 3) ____________. 4) ____________.

5)____________. 6)____________. 7)____________.
The answers may surprise you, but it probably won't surprise anyone that Kentucky, particularly this area of Kentucky, has very few foreign born residents. Now take a look and grade youself:

  1. Russell County, with 2.3% of population foreign born
  2. Taylor County, with 1.5% of population foreign born
  3. (Tie for third listed in alphabetical order) Casey County, with 1.2% of population foreign born
  4. (Tie for third listed in alphabetical order) Green County, with 1.2% of population foreign born
  5. Adair County, with 1.1% of population foreign born
  6. Metcalfe County, with 1.0% of population foreign born
  7. Cumberland County, with 0.8% of population foreign born
Self grading suggestion: Give yourself 1 point for each county whose rank you correctly guessed. For instance, if your correctly guessed Russell County as the area county with the highest number, give yourself one point for that, and so, for a possible top score of 7. The puzzle creator scored zero. - EW
